The Kancamagus Highway is celebrated as one of the most spectacular places to view fall-foliage in the world. The highway snakes its way through the White Mountains, along the Lost River, past the Lost River Gorge, and finally ends at the top of the highest peak in the Northeast: Mt. Washington. Along the way, travelers can stop at Clark's Trading Post for a few hours of quirky entertainment, or step outside the car to take in the beautiful views of Flume's Gorge.
